AI & DeepTech
Kalmi — (Founder, 2024–present) Consultancy to help organizations operationalize agentic AI. Core offerings include AI readiness assessments, governance framework design, production-grade AI system architecture. Positioned at the intersection of deep financial services domain knowledge and applied AI systems expertise. Also, implementing agentic workflow automation for SMEs and startups.
xLayer Technologies — (Head of AI, 2023–present) Strategy, Solutioning and GTM leadership for emerging technology initiatives across enterprise and government clients. Notable engagements include AI-driven tourism platform deployment (Meghalaya Tourism, with engagement at Ministry of Tourism) and vernacular voice-based government service access (DoNER). Combines applied AI expertise with deep understanding of domain, strategy & ops.
EMSEC — (Head of Operations, Nov 2023 – Apr 2024) Built operations from zero for early-stage defense hardware startup developing autonomous systems. Led UAV project management (hybrid VTOL, tailsitter development), payload system oversight, specialized engineering recruitment, and process infrastructure. Managed cross-functional coordination with external partners for avionics integration and flight testing.
Startups (own & others)
Worked on product strategy, GTM, and operational delivery across multiple early-stage ventures in B2B SaaS, gig economy, and EdTech spaces. Roles spanned fractional leadership — Candooo (gig economy platform in Singapore, product & GTM), 3QSpace (business development & project delivery for ERPNext across BFSI/manufacturing), and JustMove (GTM and product strategy in exer-gaming startup). Engaged across research validation, lean MVP development, commercialization and pitch/investment discussions.
Founded two ventures while advising others. Wission (2018–2021) was a consumer community platform for offline meetups, reaching 1000+ users and 200+ active members with 80% Year 1 retention—learned hard lessons about community cold-start and retention dynamics. Kolbo (2020–2022) evolved into a professional talent and learning ecosystem; launched wellness programs growing to $10K ARR within 2 months and partnered with iQuanta on a mindset program for CAT aspirants.
Enterprise (earlier career)
Goldman Sachs — (Vice President) Founded and built the buy-side Market Risk function in Bangalore. Spearheaded regulatory project (post-2008 SEC reforms) to onboard ~$200Bn Money Markets business onto internal risk systems. This role provided both analytical rigor and domain credibility that underpins subsequent work.
PwC — (Consultant) Technical consultant in marquee engagements like the build-out of Bangladesh’s first fully paperless hospital.
Soroco — (Engagement Manager) (Employee #17) Multi-functional leadership during critical growth phase: built Finance, Recruiting, and Compliance functions from scratch; led cross-functional compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC, PCI DSS) as sole POC.
