About

I am an AI strategist and consultant based in Bengaluru, India. I founded Kalmi, a boutique consultancy that helps enterprises — particularly in financial services and fintech — operationalise agentic AI with governance, rigor, and strategic clarity. Before this, I spent years at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations, including time at Goldman Sachs and PwC, and across early-stage startups in Bengaluru.

My professional formation spans two worlds that rarely talk to each other: the institutional discipline of Tier-1 finance and consulting, and the ground-level reality of building products and businesses from scratch. I have been a founder, a head of operations, a BD lead, and a delivery head — often in companies that were figuring things out in real time. That range is what I bring to clients navigating the operational complexity of deploying AI systems in production.

I write about AI, India, and the choices that will determine what kind of country and economy we become. I am particularly interested in questions at the edge of technology and consequence — how AI reshapes work, what India needs to do to matter in the global technology stack, and why our education system is optimising for a world that no longer exists.

I studied engineering at IIT Guwahati and management at IIM Kozhikode. I live in Bengaluru with my family.

If something I have written is useful to you, or if you are working on something at the intersection of AI, financial services, or India’s technology future, I would like to hear from you.
